We’re Djurre & Liza. Like so many others, we started out with just a few plants on the windowsill. But things quickly escalated: plants everywhere. Macramé plant hangers, little plant stands, mini greenhouses, shelves… you know how it goes.
That’s when we realized that taking care of plants isn’t just about “giving them a little water.” Our curiosity kept growing. Why do some plants thrive while others don’t? That question sparked our journey to find the perfect growing climate for our own urban jungle.
We didn’t start our company because we wanted to be entrepreneurs…

How it all began
It didn’t take long before our home was overflowing with plants. We fell in love with their beauty and we just kept adding to the collection.
Yes, it got very crowded.
It also brought us a sense of calm.
Our plants became more than decoration or style. They turned into our own little world: a place to come home to.
When it suddenly became a hassle
It didn’t all go smoothly.
Fluctuations in temperature or humidity. Even with a greenhouse cabinet, the climate remained unpredictable. Constantly adjusting. Constantly correcting.
Our plants seemed to be surviving rather than truly growing. And us? We were tired.
We just wanted to enjoy our plants.
So things had to change
Tropical plants need something Dutch homes rarely provide on their own: balance.
Between light, humidity, temperature, and airflow. We realized it had become too complex to rely on instinct alone.
And honestly? Caring for plants shouldn’t be this stressful. We knew it had to be simpler. And better.
What we needed did not exist.
So we decided to build it ourselves.
From idea to working system
We started with soldering irons, datasheets, and long evenings of research at the kitchen table; our test greenhouse cabinet right beside us.
Building. Testing. Failing. Tweaking. Trying again.
What began as just an idea slowly grew into a working system. It took time, energy, and endless fine-tuning.
But it gave us something that truly makes a difference.
For and by the plant community
We shared it with fellow plant lovers. Their honest feedback helped us grow: both as makers and as plantparents.
We now have a climate controller shaped and approved by the plant community.
