This Privacy Policy explains how the Floracle mobile application (“the App”) processes information.
Floracle is developed and operated by VOF Floracle, established in The Netherlands, and is subject to Dutch law and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
We value your privacy. We designed Floracle to work without collecting, storing, or sharing any personal data beyond what is strictly necessary for the app to function with your Floracle device.
Floracle does not require you to create an account or log in.
The app does not track your location, monitor your usage, or collect personal identifiers.
The only data you enter in the app is:
Wi-Fi network name (SSID)
Wi-Fi password
This data is:
Entered manually by you,
Used only to connect your Floracle device to your home network,
Sent directly from your phone to your Floracle device over Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE),
Not stored in the app after provisioning,
Not transmitted to our company or any third party.
Floracle does not send any information to remote servers, cloud services, or analytics platforms.
We do not use advertising networks, tracking tools, or third-party analytics.
To function, Floracle may request the following permissions on your mobile device:
Bluetooth: to discover and connect to your Floracle device.
(If required by Android version) Location: only to enable Bluetooth Low Energy device discovery, never for GPS tracking or storing location data.
Local network (on certain Android versions): to communicate with your Floracle device over Wi-Fi once provisioned.
We request these permissions only when needed, and the features will not work if permissions are denied.
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
Know what personal data we process (in this case, none beyond temporary SSID/password during provisioning),
Request correction or deletion of personal data (not applicable as we do not store it),
Withdraw consent for processing (by not entering Wi-Fi credentials or uninstalling the app),
Lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

While Floracle does not store your Wi-Fi credentials, we take steps to ensure secure communication between your phone and your Floracle device using Bluetooth Low Energy pairing and encrypted Wi-Fi connections where supported.
We may update this Privacy Policy if we change how the app works. Updates will be published on our website and within the app if applicable.
