The Floracle sensor is an important factor in the placement, for the climate will automatically adjust itself based on the sensors’ measurements. It’s important that the sensor gets a placement that is accurate for the climate in the whole greenhouse cabinet.
The best place for the sensor is in the middle of the width of the greenhouse cabinet, at the same height level as your plants’ foliage. This will give the sensor the values that your plants’ are actually in.
Beware of direct sensor-disturbence!
Do not put your sensor directly above a heater or humidifier and don’t put the fan’s direction directly at the sensor. This will result in inaccurate measurements of the sensor, which will prevent Floracle to create your perfect climate.
The most important thing to remember when placing a heater inside your greenhouse cabinet is: warm air is lighter than cold air, which means that warm air rises up.
Therefore the best placement would be at the floor of your greenhouse cabinet.
Moist air is heavier than dry air. The moist air from your humidifier will slowly drop down towards the floor of your cabinet. Therefore the best placement would be at the top of your greenhouse cabinet.
We have struggled a lot with the placement of the humidifier in our own greenhouse cabinets. We have found that it’s not very aesthetically pleasing to have a humidifier at the top shelf.
